Dreaming Beyond Limits
My name is Setara Hosseini, and I’m a 10th-grade student—a girl filled with hopes and dreams, with passion and imagination, living in a country where even dreaming feels like a dream. In a place where having goals as a girl is seen as impossible, even our smallest wishes can seem out of reach. But I want to have the right to choose my own path. With determination and hard work, I believe I can achieve my goals.
My goals aren’t limited to just one dream; they cover different parts of my life. First, I want to become a businesswoman so I can introduce my country’s products and culture to the world and be a role model for Afghan women. I also want to create job and business opportunities for others, especially for women in my country.
The second part of my goals stems from my personal interests. I love painting and music, and I want to keep learning and growing in art to bring beauty and peace to my soul. I hope to become an artist one day.
In the long term, I want to write books about the lives of Afghan women who face violence and hardship. I believe that reading and literature give meaning to life, and through writing, I want to be a voice for the women of Afghanistan.
In the end, I want to say that I truly believe in myself. With effort, faith, and determination, I know I can reach my goals and succeed.
