The Light of Hope
When the Taliban took over Afghanistan, I gave up on my dreams. My life was filled with darkness and hopelessness. Days felt empty, and nights had no meaning. But now that I am able to go to school, I have found my strength and motivation again.
Despite the discrimination and humiliation I faced in my country, I stood back up. I built new dreams and goals for myself. I hope to become a lawyer and an author in the future.
If I achieve my dream of becoming a lawyer, I’ll always stand up for the rights of my people.
And if I become a writer, I won’t focus on the weaknesses of my homeland — I’ll write about its beauty, about the brave and creative girls, and about the people who stayed strong through every hardship.
I’ll write about the girl who proved that even when the doors of school are closed to her, nothing can stop her from succeeding.
And I’ll never let the light of hope in my heart fade away.
