The Voice of a AfghanistanGirl from
I was born in a country that has endured years of injustice and discrimination, yet never surrendered.
A place where children grow up hearing gunfire, but still carry the dream of peace in their hearts.
I am a girl from Afghanistan—a land where women’s voices have often been silenced, yet their strength echoes even in silence.
A place where being a girl is not just a gender, but a symbol of resilience and hope.
This is the land where Rabi’a wrote with her own blood: “Being a woman is not death, it is an outcry.”
And I, a daughter of this soil, have felt the pain of ignorance and the weight of tradition and silence.
But even in that darkness, I lifted my pen like a weapon and swore that it would never fall silent.
Today, many school doors remain closed to girls, yet we continue to learn, to fight, and to move forward.
I am part of a generation that raises its voice with hope—even when the world chooses not to see us.
I am one of thousands of girls who live with the fewest resources but carry the biggest dreams.
They may close our schools, but they will never silence our voices.
This is who I am—shaped by my heritage, driven by purpose, and committed to a brighter future.
